Where do we get mineral ores?

Most of the mineral ores and raw metals used in Japan are imported. Mining development projects are likely carried out in the areas embracing original ecosystems and socially unstable countries. The resource-rich countries are not always economically rich countries. Rather, they are facing so-called “resource curse” i.e. continued conflict and corruption over precious resources.
